GLC has appeared on two Grammy winning albums. Not only that, ask fans what their two favorite Kanye tracks are, and you're bound hear more than a few responses of "Spaceship" off The College Dropout, and "Drive Slow" off Late Registration. While the success might go to the heads of some, GLC takes in stride, and will be the first to tell you, "I Ain't Even On Yet." I was able to catch up with GLC right before he took the stage at Zune's Live @ The BBQ in Chicago, IL. We chopped it up about his upcoming debut album, the power of music, and the laws of attraction. Read on and see how GLC is rotating through the Windy City Streets. SoundSlam: For most people, the first introduction to you was "Spaceship" on The College Dropout, my favorite song on the album. Everyday when I was doing teacher training out in LA, it was like boot camp.

9/11 Redux

I cannot remember that I have seen anything on TV as effective as the woman Moore shows crying and lamenting the deaths of her relatives, or the scene of American soldiers arresting an innocent Iraqi young man on Christmas Eve. We should be ashamed that an American has produced such an issue, while we still keep the truth away from our audiences.

I liked this film not because of the issues it discusses, but because it is funny and lighthearted. I think Egyptian cinemagoers who liked the movie did so for the very same reason. Yes, it is true that it is full of very useful facts, but who would watch a documentary in Egypt if it weren’t this humorous?

I’m now very angry with the Saudis after seeing the film. How much money do they have invested in the United States? One of the analysts in the movie said if the Saudis decide suddenly to withdraw their money from the American banks, it would be a big blow for the American economy.

Misadventures in Atlanta

She's very intelligent, works during the day and goes to school pursuing a degree in accounting. I have the utmost respect and admiration for her and what she's now doing for herself and her children.

I guess all I'm saying is that while I understand how a woman such as you described might cause you to raise an eyebrow or two, I wouldn't completely write her off without considering the person as a whole.

The 12th Word at A&M

While it is true that his father donated a large sum of money, George Bush never attended Texas A&M. (Even his daughter Jenna attended UT.) And sadly, you seemed to blame your soldiers just because of their association with TAMU. That to me, is ignorance.

Before you accuse me of being another conservative Aggie, it's important to know that I've always been liberal in thought and lived in Austin for the majority of my life. But I respect and admire my fellow Aggies too much to allow someone to degrade or insult them. We will always have something that the University of Texas will never have, and that is a sense of pride and family that bonds us together.

Further Reflections on the MacBook Air

I often have to review products after using them for a much shorter time than I would like and the was definitely true for my column on the MacBook Air. I've now had time to get to know the Air a lot better, including taking it on a transcontinental trip. But if nothing, my original conclusions about it have strengthened with experience: What seemed good feels even better and the defects feel even more deficient.

The Good: As long as you are not hobbled by its limitations, the Air is a joy to use. I find that I type more comfortably and accurately on the rather flat keyboard of the air than I do on the more sculptured keyboard of the MacBook Pro. The screen is gorgeous with the LED backlighting providing very even illumination from corner to corner.

The ambient light sensing, which I once thought of as a sort of MacBook gimmick is extremely effective at keeping the screen at a comfortable level of brightness under just about any lighting condition except direct outdoor sunshine.
